Aaron Crosby is a Lighting Designer with a variety of experiences working in venues from academic to professional, designing shows ranging from family concerts to large-scale musicals. Aaron received his Bachelor of Arts in both Theatre and Media Production from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN and his Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. A few of the venues at which Aaron has designed or assisted include: Sight & Sound Theatres ©, Temple Theatres, the Children’s Theatre Company of Minneapolis, Bethel University, and the Southern Theatre in Minneapolis.

As a Lighting Designer, Aaron seeks to bring something fresh to each production with which he works. He believes that a successful design is one that speaks to both the script/score and the director’s vision for the production in order to create a strong aesthetic statement within a visually cohesive production. Aaron especially enjoys projects within a highly collaborative environment, working to bring a production to life on stage in a way that is aesthetically pleasing and awe inspiring to the audience.

Currently Aaron is based out of Lancaster, PA and serves as the resident Lighting Designer at Sight & Sound Theatres © with theatres in both Lancaster, PA and Branson, MO. He works on remounting/updating older shows, as well as creating original designs for world premier productions. All of the shows produced at Sight & Sound Theatres © are large-scale, original musical telling stories from The Bible. Aaron also works on altering/adjusting the lighting for film shoots of the premier productions in order to release them on DVD.

Aaron has also held other positions in lighting departments from Staff Electrician to Master Electrician. He has served as the Master Electrician both at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival in Center Valley, PA and Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. As a Master Electrician, Aaron strives to streamline the production process within the lighting department to ensure efficiency in process and a successful realization of the given design.
